Sandro Ventura
Sandro Ventura Mantilla is director, editor, screenwriter and producer of Peruvian cinema. He studied at the Film and Television Workshop of Armando Robles Godoy. In 1993, after four years in Chile, he returned to Peru and entered the newspaper El Comercio and his magazine TV + shows.
He became a journalist and Ventura made contact with several film and television productions and managed to interview international figures such as Mel Gibson, Vin Diesel, Shakira, Enrique Iglesias, Jane Adams and bands like Metallica, La Ley, La Oreja de Van Gogh, among others . He eventually became the editor of TV + magazine and later, and after several collaborations and consultancies, he holds the same position in the magazine Cable Mágico, belonging to the most important cable television company in Peru.
At the same time, he became the first correspondent of the MTV Latin America in Peru, doing interviews and interviews for shows like Semana Rock and covering the MTV Movie Awards twice.
In 2000, he decided to leave journalism and start a career in the movies. He directed several documentaries and In 2005, he writes, edits and directs his first feature film “Talk Show”, a comedy that opens in 2006.
In 2012, he forms Big Bang Films, with Adolfo Aguilar and filming “The Good Pedro”. The film premieres on September 20, 2012.
Between 2010 and 2011 he writes episodes for the two seasons of the series “Doors to the Beyond” for Discovery Channel and write the screeplay for “The Entity”, tape directed by Eduardo Schuldt.
Along with Big Bang Films, Ventura produces a handful of films that today make the production company one of the most important and most continuous in Peru with films like “Maybe Tomorrow” and “Japy Ending”. He directed “An Odd Evening in April”, “Malefic”, “A Sinister Comedy” and “Heritage; The Movie”, an interesting approach to Peruvian music .Also wrote “My Soap Opera 1 and 2.”
