Shot entirely in first person POV, “Hostel Hollywood” allows the audience to experience the advent of an actor’s career in all its rawness and humiliation–the camera angles creating a video game-like virtual reality through the eyes of the story’s protagonist, Clark, who momentarily escapes his privileged life and domineering wife to pursue greatness–only to find himself and his new friends living in an “artists” hostel, and costumed as Tom Cruise, Mr. T, Charlie Chaplin, and Marilyn Monroe, to feed their dreams and depravities with money pried from gullible tourists along the Walk of Fame.
