Have you ever wished you could fix your own psychological problems?
And if you found yourself in therapy with yourself… what on earth would you say?
Everybody’s Fine, Nobody’s Great is a witty and poetic one-man show exploring the tricky, often comic relationship between young people and psychotherapy.
Amedeo, a thirty-year-old desperate for help, discovers that every therapist in town is fully booked. Out of options, he starts following the bizarre self-help tips of Italy’s most famous TV psychologist, Doctor Onesto, who preaches positive thinking as the cure to all ills.
Between self-administered psychoanalysis, absurd dreams to interpret, and the struggle to confront his deepest fears, Amedeo embarks on a surreal journey through his subconscious—until he comes face-to-face with the most daunting therapist of all: himself.
Director’s Notes
We live in a time when asking for help is either fashionable or frowned upon. Every day we wrestle with our psychological struggles, caught between the stigma of seeing a therapist, the costs of treatment, and the overwhelming variety of therapeutic approaches promising to solve everything.
Everybody’s Fine, Nobody’s Great was born from a universal question: can we truly heal by becoming our own therapists? Is self-help a brave act of independence—or a dangerous illusion?
One truth remains: change is impossible without the support of others. But unless the drive to change starts within ourselves, no transformation can ever last.
